Course privacy notice

This notice explains how personal information is handled in the Beyond the Mic account, payment, and learning experience.
Confirmed-purchase analytics
If you accept analytics, we may associate your purchase with Google Analytics browser and session identifiers and validated campaign labels, such as TikTok or Instagram. We save this optional context with your order before payment. After PayMongo confirms payment, the server can send the product, amount, currency and an opaque transaction identifier to Google Analytics, even if you do not return from the payment page. The transaction identifier helps prevent duplicate reporting. This does not include your name, email, age, phone number or private access link. Missing analytics consent or blocked analytics does not prevent buying or receiving your course. A payment redirect or a payout to the business is not counted as a new sale. Changing Cookie settings stops new browser analytics and new checkout context collection; it does not erase previously recorded purchase events.
Access-email abuse protection
Requests for a fresh access email are limited per email address, network address and across this website. Gmail aliases share an email limit. The request-limit table stores keyed hashes, counts and expiry times, not raw email or network addresses. Records expire within 24 hours and are removed by subsequent requests. People on the same network share its limits. Confirmed-payment emails follow a separate verified-payment path; provider-wide sending limits can still delay delivery.
AI chat and abuse protection
Questions sent to Coach Illy are processed through OpenRouter to generate an AI response. Do not enter sensitive personal information. To limit abuse, we store a keyed hash of your network address and request counts in Supabase, not your chat text or raw network address in the rate-limit table. Quota records expire within 24 hours and expired records are removed when subsequent chat requests are processed. Shared network addresses share message limits.
Guest checkout and email access
You can purchase without registering or choosing a password. We record your checkout name, email, student age in years, contact number, selected product, coaching format, weekend-session count and acceptance of terms. For a minor, provide a parent or guardian’s contact number. Age helps Coach Illona prepare age-appropriate guidance; the contact number is used for scheduling and purchase support. These details are included in the private confirmed-purchase email sent to Coach Illona through Resend, not in public pages or analytics. After confirmed payment, we link your purchase to a private access identity and email you an access link. Existing purchase identities are reused. A hashed network address is recorded to limit checkout abuse. Access links are private: do not forward them.
Information collected
We collect account details such as your name and email, optional phone and marketing preference, order and payment-submission details, payment proof files, support messages, and basic website analytics. PayMongo handles online payment details; we keep its checkout and transaction references, not your card or banking credentials. We do not ask for your password or OTP.
Why it is used
Information is used to create and protect your account, verify manual payments, grant course access, provide support, prevent fraud, improve the course website, comply with legal obligations, and—only with your optional consent—send future marketing updates.
Payment proofs
Receipts may contain personal and transaction information. They are stored in a private bucket and are available only to the submitting student and authorized administrators. Proof files are never public and are not used to grant access automatically.
Service providers
The site uses Vercel for hosting, Supabase for accounts/database/private storage, PayMongo for online payments, Google Analytics for aggregated usage measurement, and YouTube for course playback. These providers process limited data under their own privacy and security terms.
Analytics and choices
Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept analytics. Reject optional keeps analytics off, without blocking checkout or course access. Essential browser storage supports access and security. Your analytics preference is stored locally for six months; use Cookie settings in the footer to change it. Rejecting after acceptance stops new analytics collection and removes Google Analytics cookies accessible to this site, but does not erase data already received by Google. Analytics may collect device, browser, approximate location, and site-interaction data. We measure product and CTA selections, course previews, checkout progress, field-completion milestones, validation categories, and payment handoffs to improve the website. We do not send entered field values, names, email addresses, ages, phone numbers, receipt numbers, or private access links. Private account, admin, and lesson pages are excluded. A payment return is not counted as a confirmed sale. We do not enable marketing cookies. Embedded YouTube videos and payment providers have their own storage and privacy practices. Browser privacy tools can limit analytics collection.
Retention and security
We retain account, order, and payment records for as long as needed to deliver access, resolve disputes, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. We use access controls and private storage, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw optional marketing consent. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legitimate or legal reasons.
